But a mysterious, dark-skinned woman in an elaborate headdress has an even greater challenge for him, a challenge that calls for great personal sacrifice and carries with it only her word that it will "fix" the situation. Whose "offer" will he accept? Which path will he choose for his final years? And will James T. Kirk truly "die alone?"
